Thursday Moda #78: Beach Vacation Floral Swimsuits.

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday. I am back this week showing you two of the Beach Swimsuit Looks I wore earlier this month on my vacation (Vivian's too). We were there for 9 days and I figured at least one day would most likely be rainy and chilly which it was. But I still packed 5 swimsuits for me and 6 for Vivian because I wanted to have options and I wanted to be able to change daily. Plus I figure going in the water - though we barely did since the water was very cold and both Vivian and I were a little sick and were fighting colds at the time - the suits would get wet and it takes a long while to leave a suit dry naturally. But anyhow, out of the suits I packed for myself, 2 of them were one-piece and 3 were bikini styles. I purchased both my one-piece suits this year at Target, while the bikini ones I have owned for a few years. As you guys know I love floral prints and I think the beach or a vacation is by far the best place to wear flowers and tropical prints. 3 of the suits I had packed with me were floral (the others were one polka dot and one striped, in case you were wondering lol). Today I am sharing two of the floral swimsuits I wore while on vacation. I love the one piece magenta+orange suit so much. The laceup cutout detail both in the front and on the back is sexy without revealing too much and definitely flattering too.

I will be honest with you, it is not easy posing these pictures on the internet, on a personal blog, because we all have imperfections and my body isn't perfect and definitely needs some toning, like I mentioned last week on my Thursday Moda post also. But in general I am comfortable in my own skin. I am almost 5.7'' and I am not huge by any means (137 lbs.), I wear a size Small in most of my clothes usually, but like I said standing up tall in a swimsuit is not the easiest thing. Anyhow, I did pack both of these Floppy Hats and 4 pairs of Sunglasses with me. I also love accessorizing my suits at the beach and to do so I usually select a few colorful plastic beaded bracelets and some fun earrings that make a statement but are also light.

This Black Bandeau-Style Bikini has Red+Green Flowers (only on the front, it is completely black on the back). I wore my Target Floppy Hat which I purchased this Summer with this one (very similar to this), some Circle Hot Pink+White Plastic Earrings I have had for years and these Fun Gold Sunglasses with Interesting Geometric-Shaped Rims, they are recent from Charming Charlie.

Here is my one piece Magenta/Teal/White/Orange One Piece Floral Swimsuit and with this one I wore the "Life is Sweet" Floppy Hat I usually share with Vivian (since it is from Gymboree), my Mirrored Dark Grey Marble Sunglasses, some Light Green Ombre Crocheted Earrings shaped like a flower and a set of Plastic Beaded Bracelets from the Sugarfix line at Target.

I just love Vivian's Super Girly Swimsuits from these two days. The Pink+Yellow Minnie Mousse Polka Dot one has the cutest ruffled neckline and she accessorized that one with Sweet Pigtails and her Rainbow Striped Cat+Jack Sunglasses. While the Light Blue "Frozen" Swimsuit with Elsa has a little white tulle peplum ruffle in the front with a silk silver bow in the middle and she accessorized that one with a Polka Dot Chambray Baseball Hat which is from Target as are her swimsuits.

Denim Americana Labor Day.

It doesn't get any more Americana than a denim bottom and a white tee or a cotton white tank (exactly this outfit) especially paired with a pair of Sneakers and what a great way to sort of say Farewell to Summer and wear something comfortable like this for your Labor Day weekend. My Dark Denim Mini Skirt (which is vintage by now, from Gap) matches those Dark Denim Sneakers perfectly (they are also a few years old). The White Tank Top is a new addition from Loft this Summer and I love the cute bow tie in the back. Oh and my red is that Mini Laser-Cut Star Purse with pom pom charms which I borrowed from my Vivian (it is by Cat+Jack from Target). I added a Fun Pendant Necklace and some Crystal Turquoise Drop Earrings to dress it all up and I was done. Keep the makeup simple and wear sunglasses if you are going to be outdoors and it is hot this weekend and don't forget SPF moisturizer.  Hope your Hump Day is a great one!
