Currently, April 2017.

And just like that it is the second week of April and I am a lot later than usual on these currently posts but still keeping up with it, this month. Exactly in a week is Easter Sunday - I cannot believe it. How is quarter of the year gone already?! Well April hopefully will feel more like Spring as far as mother nature goes. April showers bring May flowers, right?!

Before I go ahead with the prompts, I want to add a few goals to these monthly posts. I didn't make any New Year's resolutions which is good but I do want to accomplish some things/goals each month. For April I want to:

- work on finding a pre-school for Vivian that she can go for at least 2 or 3 days a week.
- Clean, organize, get rid of and purge a lot of my closet and Vivian's (and I have already started this, this month).
- Have an outdoor picnic with home-made sandwiches and freshly-squeezed lemonade or home-made smoothies, in our front or back yard, with Vivian.
- E-Mai, get in touch with and be a lot more attentive to brands and sponsors for upcoming collaborations this Spring and Summer.

accomplishing: it feels like I am not accomplishing much lately. I have been working a lot and staying late hours at work. I don't want that to be an excuse but I am being honest. Getting headaches and migraines 3-5 times a week doesn't help either. On top of that, I feel like I always need a good 8 hours of sleep each day.

feeling: tired (it goes with the first prompt) and many times un-motivated. I just want to relax, do very little and sleep most of my free time, Is that wrong?

needing: a good vacation. Nothing huge, just 5-7 days getaway would do. Somewhere nice where the weather is 75-85 degrees and not one day of rain sounds great. All the rain and the bi-polar weather we have had the last month or so has made me more tired and less productive than usual.

practicing: how not to shop, to shop very little or shop with a purpose. With that said, I am practicing how to shop my closet more and find hidden treasures there, such as items that are very much on trend now in 2017 as they were 5 or 10 years ago.

pinning: besides cute Spring outfits, I am pinning lots of Springy home decor, easy Spring recipes and lots of organizing closet and office ideas.

Now, here is a look back at some outfits around this time in April, some years ago.

I cringe at several outfits from 2013, the year I became a mom. Most of them were casual, since I was staying home with my baby girl but a lot of them didn't feel fresh, chic or put-together. But this wasn't one of them. This felt fresh, sunny, bright, pretty and perfect for early Spring and I would wear all of these pieces in a heart-beat. This was just another mom day and lunch date with my baby girl. But it is classic and dressy enough to even wear to an office. I combined a pencil skirt with a silk blouse and carried an oversize geo B+W clutch. I decided to bring out the Summer jewelry with some turquoise+coral pieces. Love it!

On April 2014, I did a 30 for 3 remix where I chose 30 clothing items (including shoes) and remixed them into 30 outfits. In fact I got like 36 outfits out of all the items I picked. This outfit is one of them. It is another casual mom out+about look. This time I pattern-mixed stripes, floral and polka dots. Most of this outfit was in black and white with pops of navy. The touches of coral, lavender and red pop because the rest of the look is mostly black and white with some blue in it.

This outfit has a lot of similarities with the outfit from the previous year. Another short striped dress - this one is a thick ponte and has pockets - and I paired it with another watercolor floral scarf and a blue denim jacket. I absolutely love these turquoise suede loafers with the silver tassels. In this post I spoke about Spring essentials and they were a striped dress, a blue denim jacket, a floral scarf and a pair of colorful flats.

And here were my March Goals.

- get my taxes done and sent. - Done!
- spent very little or no money on myself. My closet only needs about 3 things (a pair of mules, skinny black jeans and a blue denim jacket), so no need to spend on other unnecessary things. - DONE and this wasn't an easy one either! Didn't spend a penny on myself or Vivian for clothes and such. And just a few cheap coffee and fast food dates.
- finish the 2 books I have already started to read and start and finish a third book. Half-way done! - I did finish one book and started reading a third book (almost done with it too) but I didn't finish my second book because I found it uninteresting.
- read more books to Vivian. - Done, both at home and in our library dates.
- work on finding a pre-school for Vivian that she can go for at least 2 or 3 days a week. - Not done. I haven't had luck with this one, that is why it is one of my goals for April, too.
