Dusty Pink Harper Pants and Paisley Cold Shoulders.

Happy November you all! It will be a high of 78 degrees in the Metropolitan Detroit area on November 1st!
That is really warm. About 20 to 25 degrees higher than it normally is this time of the year. So silky blouses, cold shoulders and bright colors are still doable today and this Autumn, in Michigan. I failed on posting all (or most) of my pink item outfits that I wore in October to honor Breast Cancer Awareness, so you might see a few more this early November, like today.

I have on a pair of Light Dusty Pink/Soft Blush pair of Harper Pants by Old Navy. I paired them with this Pretty Silky Navy Paisley+Floral Print Long-Sleeve Blouse I got earlier this Summer from Target.com. That gorgeous Mini Crossbody Purse is from Target too as are my New Faux Suede Sam & Libby Baby Pink Loafers which I love. I have gotten so many compliments on them. I love how the Blush and Navy paired with the Maroon/Deep Plum Shades. The sunnies, crossbody and belt all match perfectly which is funny because the purse and sunnies are new but the belt is old from like 10 years ago, from Gap. I have purchased several Real Leather Belts from Gap through the years and I have always loved their belts. They are high quality and well made. I finished it off with my most recent set or jewelry from Rocksbox (you can use my own special code to get a free month of Rocksbox jewelry delivered to your home: ADABFF39). The Gold Necklace wasn't my favorite, though it paired well with this Blouse. I always love Kendra's Elle Earrings though. I have the Abalone pair which is between Navy and green otherwise I would have kept this beautiful navy pair. I did keep the Gorgeous Blue+Silver Rhinestone Wrap Bracelet though. It paired so well with the other blues in this outfit.

Fall Layers on a Casual Halloween Sunday.

Happy Halloween!
So we went from a high of 68 degrees day on Saturday to temperatures 20 to 25 degrees lower on Sunday. That nice weather was perfect for Saturday too, since I attended a wedding. But today I am back to wearing several Fall layers and keeping it as casual as possible. In honor of Halloween weekend all of my layers are topped off with a Bright Orange Puffer Vest which matches the strips of orange on my Gorgeous New Balance Sneakers, but there is also a pop of pink for Breast Cancer Awareness month, in my socks. However the two main colors of this outfit are burgundy (tee, leggings, socks and a little bit on the bag) and gray (hoodie, bag and sneakers). There is also some pattern-mixing between the stripes, plaid and argyle. This outfit definitely has a very relaxed athleisure and sporty vibe to it, no? And I love that.

So, how did I layer?
1) Striped tee over leggings and socks worn on the outer side of the leggings.
2) Zippered hoodie sweatshirt over the tee.
3) Orange vest over the hoodie which was zipped.
For more explanation, see the collage right above. The three layers on top worked because they all have different length and are in different materials, too.

White+Burgundy Striped, Loose Tunic, Long-Sleeve T-Shirt: Old Navy (similar, baseball style, Huge Steal, love this), (similar, Great Deal, my Favorite), (similar, Splurge).
Irreversible Orange Puffer Vest (it is olive on the other side): Urban Outfitters (Old) (similar, Huge Steal), (similar, Great Deal, my Favorite), (similar, Splurge).
Burgundy, Equestrian-Style Leggings w/ Faux Leather Detail off the side of each leg: Penti (similar, Huge Steal), (similar coated option, Fantastic Deal), (dressier option w/ zippered pockets, on Huge Sale), (similar athleisure-looking, my Favorite).
Gray+Black w/ Red Patchwork Wool-Blend Tote Bag: Lulu (similar, Huge Steal, love this), (similar, on Sale, my Favorite), (similar, Splurge, love this).
Last year also in the Fall, I paired the same leggings and striped tee as today's outfit but for a more dressy look pictured below. Which one is your favorite? This year's or last year's?

What plans do you have today for Halloween? I will be taking my little butterfly trick or treating, of course.

Flashback Friday: Rose Quartz and Serenity for Fall.

As you will notice from the indoor photos here, that is my mantle/fireplace ares as it was decorated this Spring but I shot these photos and never blogged this outfit. The mantle looks real pretty with the bright colors and pastels, right? Well it looks totally Fall-ish now and I plan to give you all a Home Fall Tour in the next few days here. I know I know it is almost Halloween but let's not forget we have all November ahead of us and November signifies Autumn as does Thanksgiving.

Anyway, this outfit, never blogged before but I wore it very similarly just the other day. So it is sort of a Flashback Friday post though you have never seen the outfit. Truth is, I paired this same Serenity Blue Sweater with this Rose Quartz Scarf tied/twisted the same way on Wednesday to work, except I wore Black Cigarette Pants and Black Suede Wedge Pumps with them, however I never had time to photograph it. The rest of the outfit was the same, even the same Teal Blue Rose Stud Earrings. I even carried the same Black Fringe Bag. I guess sometimes our sub-conscience tells us what to do. I think this outfit (though originally from March) is very relevant for Fall because I paired these light Pastel Colors with Camel, Suede and Shearling and because Pink is the color to wear for October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. I also like that this outfit is pretty monochromatic with the different shades of blue and it has a little nod to 70s with my metallic denim flares. Both the sweater and the scarf are in light silk knits and look great together. But after wearing it 3 times this year I will be taking this sweater to the second-hand store to sell because it fits a little too close to my body for my taste now. I prefer my sweater more loose and longer these days.

Baby Blue/Serenity Silk-Knit, V-Neck Sweater: Banana Republic (very old) (very similar, love this), (similar, Great Deal), (similar), (similar w/ ombre sleeves, my Favorite).
Tan/Nude Faux Fur/Shearling Vest w/ Faux Suede on the outside: JC Penney (very similar, love this), (similar, Steal), (similar, on Sale, love this), (gorgeous option in taupe, Small Splurge, my Favorite).
Black, Soft Suede Crossbody Bag w/ Oversized Fringe off the size: Target (similar, Huge Steal), (clutch option, Steal, my Favorite), (similar, Great Deal), (similar, Splurge).
Cognac/Camel Suede Stiletto Booties w/ Fringe on the side: Frye (very similar current option by Frye, Splurge), (similar, Huge Steal), (similar booties), (similar Western-inspired, love these).

Speaking of Spring, below is a way I styled Rose Quartz and Serenity for Spring.

Yesterday on my linkup I noticed some of you who whore pops of pink this October too, especially Rose Quartz. Everyone looked beautiful. Here are some inspirations below. You can still join this week's new linkup here.
