Flashback Friday: Favorite Summer Dresses of 2016, into Fall (pt. 1).

TGIF Everyone!! How is it the end of September already?
As we all know September is the last official month of Summer. Fall is indeed here both calendar-wise and weather-wise. To tell you the truth, I consider the last day of September, the very last day of Summer. In fact, remembering my styles from this Summer, I know I have worn many dresses this Summer, a lot of which didn't make it to the blog, either, sorry about that. I am once and for all saying a bittersweet Farewell to Summer by recapping 12 Favorite Dresses from Summer 2016 and talking a little bit about each of them. For each outfit, I will also include some advice on how to style each dress for Fall. I actually did a similar post when I guest blogged for Nina last week so I figured I would do the same in my blog. Ohh and there will be a part two to this post. Stay tuned. =)

OK, so I wore this dress towards the end of Spring, resulting in a Sporty Americana Atheisure look which I love, paired with my White NB Sneakers and a baseball hat. Red is my most favorite color and because this dress particularly is in a dark red, makes it perfect for Fall all the way through the December Holidays. Albania's Independence Day is on November 28th and red+black are our colors. For then, I plan on wearing this with black opaque tights, black pumps, a red plaid blanket scarf and perhaps a classic trench on top. Easy, classic, elegant and slightly preppy.

I don't have many Midi Dresses but this Summer I changed that and purchased this Gorgeous Black+White Floral one. The material is such a breezy chiffon and I love the wide ruffle on the hem and the see-through part. I can see this with block-heeled booties (any color really: camel, black, burgundy, brown, navy, red, cream, royal blue, olive, gray), a denim jacket and the same bag for a great Fall-transitioning outfit.

I experimented with lots of Bohemian styles this past Summer and wore my share of Boho dresses, like this one. Since it is a cream color, it makes the perfect little white dress without being completely white to transition into Fall. Plus it has long sleeves. In my opinion Fall is the best season to wear Bohemian Dresses. This would look great with black or brown tights and a camel backpack. All I would do is add a long gold-tone necklace, something with a tassel, or an arrow, or another geometric piece. For a full-on Fall Boho Look I would add a felt floppy hat either in black (if I go with black tights) or in brown or camel (if I go with brown tights)

Dress: Merona (Target).

This is my only kimono-sleeve dress but I kind of want another one (ideally in red). This one has a cool, unique white floral print. Coincidentally this was the LBD I wore to participate in celebrating Nina's Birthday this year and as you can see by the collage above I styled it two ways for day and night. At work, for Fall I would add some bright tights (in red, burgundy, rust or mustard) with some black suede pumps or black suede booties.

Dress: Xhilaration (Target).

I think in your collection of white dresses, you should have a maxi. This one is in a light and comfy gauze material and the chest area is embroidered in light tan/gold. As you see, I styled it with a very cozy, over-sized light tan cardigan. The red accessories added some bright color pops and the laceup style of my flats and the layered necklaces, made this look a little Bohemian. I would keep the same bohemian look with a couple of simple switches to transition it to Fall. The cozy grandpa cardigan over the dress and I would swap these red suede lace-up flats for my cognac suede laceup flats, just a very simple switch. I could probably add a big cozy scarf to it too, something in rich reds or in tones of purple.

A bright cobalt dress is a Summer must have and this was a piece I added to my closet this Summer. For a breezy casual Summer look I added my orange-red d'orsay faux suede flats and some beaded jewelry. Into Fall I would wear this either with black tights or black leggings and my black moto jacket. Very simple I know but black+blue are a winning pair, especially for the cooler months. I would also do a black bootie, by the way.

This dress is already in an amazing Fall shade: Merlot or Oxblood. Back in the Summer I paired it with pops of purple, tan and electric blue. I quite like it combined with those colors. For Fall, I would keep the same lace-up sandals, wear a floral bomber jacket, some turquoise necklace or bracelet and my purple tassel earrings. I can picture that outfit in my head. I need to wear that soon because it is gorgeous! Later, when it gets even colder out, this dress would look amazing with black OTK boots.

Dress: 3 Hearts (

OK, so this outfit already has some Fall elements in it, because you know white sneakers are perfect all year long. By the way I love wearing sneakers with dresses. What I would change for Fall is swap the denim vest for a denim jacket, tie a little bandanna scarf on my neck and keep the same sneakers or another pair of white sneakers or even a pair of black Converse.

Dress: Wal Mart.
Original Post.
As you have seen from this post, a lot of my dresses come from Target, so many budget-friendly options out there. Every now and then I will find an everyday, great casual dress at Wal Mart, like this olive midi dress which I added the floppy navy hat too (it was needed for all that sun). Olive is a huge color for Fall so this might be the easiest one to transition yet. I would keep the olive+black cuff, add my olive booties and either my denim bomber jacket or a leather jacket. This Fall, I added a merlot-colored leather+suede jacket. That would look gorgeous over this olive midi dress and so would a black moto leather jacket. Also, stay tuned to see a warm Fall transitional look I already created wearing this olive midi (on the blog next week).

I went for the sporty, athleisure vibes with this gorgeous eyelet LBD. Love the midi length. Once again I paired a dress with white leather sneakers. For a Fall casual day, I would go with a monochromatic head to toe black look: my black leather sneakers, a black cross-body bag and my black leather moto jacket. Talk about a chic and edgy mom.

Dress: Merona via Target.
Original Post.
OK, this is the ultimate Summer maxi: light cotton jersey and lots of blue stripes. Especially paired with star sneakers, it reads 4th of July, right? Well, I do think this is the hardest one to transition but it can be done. I am going on a limp here and say I would pair this with a black, long-sleeve mock-neck bodysuit worn underneath and some black or navy sneakers. Better yet if those sneakers are in a tall platform. I can picture it for a fashion-forward athleisure look that is street-chic and modern. You could add a long beaded necklace to it too but I would keep the color of the necklace blue or turquoise so that the whole outfit is monochrome.

Dress: Spenser Jeremy.
Original Post.
This was one of the silky shirt-dresses I wore to work over Summer. In the original look I already had pops of Fall via the orange and cognac colors I paired it with. For this Autumn season I would wear this with a neutral (preferably black or light tan) poncho sweater on top, some ribbed dark tights for some texture, a black cloche hat and leopard pumps for easy pattern-mixing. The leopard would be fun to mix with the bird-print of the dress. And yes, that would be another work look, but for Fall instead.

So, these are not even one third of the Dresses I have worn this Summer but I hope you enjoyed this little flashback post and my ideas in how I would transition each of these pieces into Fall. Earlier this week, I did just that (by adding a simple trench coat) to this dress.

Thursday Moda #31 and Neutrals with Color Pops.

Welcome to Thursday Moda Guys. I have a very simple early Fall Outfit for you today. What do you wear on a Sunday morning when it is semi-windy, in the mid to high 60s? Well for one, you can still wear sandals and show off a pretty+fresh pedicure (I had just gotten mine done), but to keep warm you stick with Skinny Jeans and a Light Chiffon Blouse. I have had most of the pieces in this outfit for years, except the jeans are new (from Forever 21 and under 10 bucks) and I paired all of these pieces with my latest three jewelry items from Rocksbox. Let me sing praises to these Dark Blue Skinny Jeans for a moment! Priced just under ten bucks, they are comfortable, easy to wear and stretchy enough to feel perfect on your curves. Because of their dark color they go with everything and can be dressed up or down. As a matter of fact now that I am typing this (on Wed Sept 28th), I am currently wearing these jeans.

For today's outfit - which I wore a couple of weeks ago to go to brunch with my daughter at iHop - I paired my jeans with an Ivory+Tan Blouse. I love that the print is like an Abstract Plaid and it is fitted and sort of cropped. In the neckline it has a built-in skinny scarf/bow tie but I decided to let it untied. Since this outfit is made up of neutrals I decided to pop it with Colorful Accessories: Yellow Sunnies, Bright Coral Lipgloss, Coral Earrings, Orange Ring and Orange-Red Sandals. The Gold+Sparkly Crystal Statement Necklace and Gold+Black Sequined Mini Clutch dressed it up a little. What do you think?

Just like the previous week that I co-hosted with Shelbee, last week the two of us had a very successful big linkup too, with 150 outfits linked up. It is hard for me to narrow it down to 5 favorites (or less) each week but I manage it lol. This week, the chosen ladies are mostly bloggers in their 40s and though the outfits I chose couldn't be any more different, each outfit is still stylish, beautiful and full of inspiration!
This week's featured blogger is JESS from 'Elegantly Dressed and Stylish' and let me tell you the name of the blog suits her so well because Jess is exactly that: elegant, dressed up, stylish and polished. She linked up 3 outfits last week with this satin copper clay a.k.a. rust dress being my absolute favorite. I love, love the dress with that thigh-high slit and the matchy yet not-quite-the-same satiny brown shoes, LV classic bag, maroon statement necklace and brown sunglasses. The dress and shoes are stunning. I also loved another satin piece she wore - her emerald blouse - paired with a jacquard leopard pencil skirt. Jess always looks lovely in jewel tones and reds and wears them a lot. She also has a great collection of low-heel shoes and flats as well as gorgeous jewelry. Her ravishing red hair is her best accessory though. On Tuesdays she runs her own successful linkup named "Turning Heads Tuesday" which is meant for her because look at her amazing red mane! Make sure you stop by and see her blog if you haven't yet.

Fonda is 'Blushing into Fall' paired with polka dots and grey. I happen to love light pink with grey. That vest is so sharp.
Chichi's 'LFW Day 2 Outfit' is a hit with me and I bet Londoners loved it too. The oversized, sort of masculine blouse looks great tucked into the fluffy tulle skirt and those magnificent shoes - Love!
Andrea's 'Floral Pants for Fall' are what I want (too bad I missed out on this print from Banana Republic). I love that she paired them with a burgundy-redish blouse and Fall-like sandals.
Sheela's personal style and writing style has no 'Comparison' and she proves that in this Gorgeous Fall Mustard Maxi with fun little cutouts matched with Camel Accessories. Bold and Beautiful!

Flutter Dress from Summer to Fall.

Earlier this year, at the end of Spring, I showed you guys this Feminine, Girly, Colorful Flutter Dress, as a way to wear it for Summer. I love the geometric-print in those vibrant shades and the flutter sleeves. I know the purples, blues and pinks make this more of a Summer Dress but it has 3/4 sleeves and ruffles which are very IN for Fall so I decided to basically take the same exact outfit (complete with all the accessories) and Fall-ify it a little bit.

So, how did I use the same exact outfit to make it Fall-appropriate? All I did is take off the Floppy Hat and add this Burgundy Trench Dress I had recently received from a fast-fashion online retailer, though it was not quite like the picture. I wish I had ordered the Small instead of the Medium. I do think the Blue Felt Hat is still perfect for Fall and I even photographed some pictures with the Hat, but I did wear this Outfit to work recently so I went without the hat. The material of the trench is very light and there is no lining so it works out nicely for early Fall while it is still not freezing. And these Bohemian Fringe/Tassel Block Heel Sandals look like Booties kind of since they are closed on the back. They are perfect to wear now and through late October as long as it is not below 50 degrees or rainy. I am sorry if you feel like I am cheating you out of a New Outfit today since it looks almost identical as the first time around but I just wanted to show you how you can simply change, minus or add one accessory or layer and create a new look. Plus, the original outfit was one of my favorites I had shared on my Thursday Linkup days as I have recapped it here. Have you worn a short dress with a longer trench coat left unbuttoned, before? I did and I like it, I will do it again. 2 posts with Dresses paired with Blue Floppy Hats, 2 days in a row, but yesterday's - check it out! - was definitely more Summery and today I am all for Fall!

Little Vivi photo-bombed a few of my photos. She is adorbs!

Little Navy Dress, Sporty Americana.

How was your Monday everyone? Hard to believe how fast September went and this is the last week of it. I never discuss politics here but we have to choose a new president soon. Did anyone catch part one of the presidential debate yesterday? I thought it was very interesting. They both made valid points. I think each candidate wants what is best for this country and its people but will they achieve it? Do you plan on voting the first Tuesday of November? I sure do. I think voting is one of the biggest rights we have as American citizens and shouldn't be taken for granted. How do you feel regarding this matter?

If you remember, a month ago, for the first time I showed you how I wore my new LND (Little Navy Dress) and it was for work. Back then I mentioned that a week later or so, I would show you a casual way to wear/style this dress. Just like last time, I paired the dress with red and white. Well a week went by, a month went by and I didn't post the casual look, until today. I have taken so many outfit photos this Summer that you guys haven't seen, because due to being super busy I have only posted about 3 new OOTDs a week (sometimes 4). Anyhow this is how I wore my LND on the weekend of Labor Day. I figured before September is over, I need to post these photos.

I went for a red, white and blue (lots of navy blue) patriotic look to celebrate this great country. Actually on the Friday of Labor Day Weekend, I wore this same exact outfit minus the floppy hat and with simple white pearl studs instead, to work. I didn't take photos of that. But then on Labor Day Monday I re-styled it the way you see it here. Love the navy pom charm in my red bag from Gap. I have an identical black crossbody like this too from H&M. I would love to own a camel one too, wish I bought the one Old Navy had this Spring. These tiny cross-body bags are still big and compact enough to fit quite a lot in them and though small, they make a statement. Speaking of a statement: my necklace makes a big one. I love the oversized modern beads and that it is long. You may remember it from my other All-American Memorial Day Look. I love it. I bottomed off the look with my new Adidas Look-Alike Sneakers from Target. So would you style a Little Navy Dress with Red+White accents for an all-American look?
