Best Dressed Birthday Party - Part One.

Happy May 4th 2015 everyone and Happy Monday - the first one of the month!! It is my birthday today. As of midnight, I am 35 years young. Saying that, kind of sounds like a lot of years, but it is what it is. I have never been one to hide my age. I am proud of my age and proud of whatever experience, growth, wrinkles, gray hairs and everything else I have accumulated with it. So, today, in honor of my Birthday, for the third year in a row I bring you a Special Blog Birthday Party, where a lot of you get to be part of, as well. So thank you in advance for being my Fabulous, Beautiful, Well-Dressed Guests! The party starts today but there will be a second part tomorrow so come back to visit =). And stay tuned for more Fun Collaborations and Cute Outfits featuring Dresses and Skirts, all week long. Thank You.

Like I mentioned last year in my Special Birthday Post I usually wear a brand-new dress for my Birthday. Today is no exception: this White, Girly Fit+Flare Dress with embroidered flowers is new, an early Birthday Gift from my mamma, from earlier this April. Everything else I wore with it, except my bracelet, are new. Nothing like a Crisp LWD for Spring or Summer for that matter. I love the girly flouncy fit+flare skirt of this one and the gorgeous palettes of flowers in the front, off each side. They are Turquoise and Metallic Gold, embroidered over the white. I added more Floral and pops of Turquoise via my Rose-Print Silky Pumps (I have wanted a pair like these in a long while, I am glad I finally own them). I also added a pop of Coral by pairing my Patent Leather Clutch with Sparkly Statement Earrings. They may be long, but they are very light. The earrings are like pave little doilies. The Gold-tone Cocktail Ring has this light Coral Stone on it. The Rainbow-Colored Pave Bracelet ties in all the pops of Color from this Outfit. I even put on a New Orange-Coral Lipstick. I wore this outfit two days ago, on Saturday for an early intimate little birthday celebration. My husband and I did an early dinner/happy hour of mussels, calamari salad, T-bone steaks, grilled asparagus, cocktails and tiramisu ice-cream cake. I definitely was overdressed, but better than being under-dressed. What do you think of my New, Birthday Dress and how I styled it? I found gorgeous ones which I linked, as well =)

I asked these ladies (whose blogs are daily reads for me) to style a Dress of their choice as a Birthday Outfit and say something about their outfit, as well. So, here they are all looking gorgeous and all dressed up for a Fun, Stylish, Girly Birthday Party! Thank you for being a part of this Special Day, Ladies. You all stepped up the style factor and as a huge Dresses Lover, I am loving so many of these Dresses and that Gorgeous, Floaty Maxi Skirt. Linked on their names, is each of their blogs.

"I don't have a LBD and this plum flutter sleeve dress fits the bill as my go to dress for special occasions! In the colder months, I wear it with tights and boots and for this springtime look, I've styled it with fun printed heels and a few dainty jewelry pieces. Happy Birthday Ada!"

"First and foremost Happy Birthday Ada!  This is the perfect dress for a birthday party.  I feel so girly in this and of course I have to belt it.  It's perfect for May birthdays because it's floral and great for spring. The greatest part is you can wear this so many different ways and for different occasions."

"On my birthday, I always want to feel extra cute but also comfy!  A jersey maxi dress is the perfect combination of elegance and ease.  This tulip-hemmed dress can be worn dressed-up on it's own or relaxed with a denim jacket.  Some glittery sandals add a little sparkle to a birthday ensemble!  Happy Birthday, Ada!"

Maxi: Giant Tiger
Shoes: Converse
Necklace: My mom
"When Ada first approached me about her Birthday celebration, like any great party I struggled over what to wear.... finally I decided on my Mad Maxi which I got to wear for the very first time on Ada's Birthday weekend last year just seemed the perfect dress for this year's celebration.  Winter has been so long and we have suffered without our last seasons favourites far to long.  Whether buying a new dress for her birthday or pulling out an ole favourite, lets just get our party dresses on and celebrate.  This maxi that throws me back to the 70's was a great find at a Canadian Store, Giant Tiger. A great place to find great deals.
I finally found a denim jacket that I love from Target (before it left Canada) and of course a maxi always just seems perfect with a great pair of Converse.
Happy Birthday Ada have a wonder celebration with your family and I wish we could all be there with you."

"Hi everyone! My name is Chelsea, and I am the "ginger" behind Ginger Side of Life a fashion and travel blog. I am currently traveling for 5 months exploring the world. So when Ada asked me to participate in her birthday celebration post I was so excited to reminisce about the fun dresses I have worn. I felt that this sunny, playful floral print dress was perfect for the occasion. Happy birthday Ada!"

"I decided to pull out one of my favorite dresses - this dress in particular because it was the dress I was wearing in a post where I first "met" Ada! In that post, I was paired it with colorblock wedges. This time, I grabbed some patent slingbacks and ultimately just let the pretty details of the dress speak for itself."

"When I go to a party I want to be able to move freely. This floaty skirt in pretty pink is perfect for dancing! I paired it with a simple top that I cropped by knotting it in the back - after much reluctance I'm finally embracing the crop-top trend. If you can't beat them, join them!"

"When Ada asked me to style a dress for her birthday, I wanted to feature the dress I wore for a special day of my own--my sorority's Spring Formal! For Formal, I chose this lace sheath dress in mint, the perfect spring color. I accessorized with a glam statement necklace and nude heels. I hope Ada's day is as fun as Formal was! Happy birthday, Ada!"
