Out with the Old.

In less than an hour, 2016 will knock its open doors in Michigan. I didn't have time to post my third New Year's Eve Outfit today. I was actually at work until about 4.30 PM, but I will be off all weekend, thankfully.  As a matter of fact, I am sitting comfortably at home in my new pajamas and new slippers, after having a rich 5-course dinner at home (all cooked by my lovely mom), with my parents. Champagne toast waiting for us at midnight. Anyway, I wanted to take a moment and wish all of you a Very Happy, Bright, Healthy and Prosperous New Year. May 2016 be the year you try things you were afraid to before and make dreams become realities!
I started the year with an almost two-year old little one who was still very much a baby and we are ending the year with an almost three-year old toddler who is learning new words in both English and Albanian, every day. It has been a good year. God has been good to us. And today on December 31st as you reach for your glasses at midnight, I wish you Amazement, Achievements and Ambition, Bliss, Blessings and Beauty, Health, Happiness and Hope!! Happy New Year 2016 to you and all your loved ones!!

Textures and Tassels for New Year's Eve.

Today I am sharing a second option you could wear for New Year's Eve. I shared the first one on Monday's Post. I also showed you a possible New Year's Eve Outfit yesterday with my Wishful Shopping list. And as you can see I cannot stay away from those Jewel tones. First Teal and Royal Blue, then Emerald and Gold and today a strong dose of Garnet (and a small pop of Purple). New Year's Eve is the time of year where you can totally go texture-crazy also and while you can, do not be afraid to wear all the fringe or the tassels, like I have done today.

Red is a great color to wear for any special occasion and one of the colors of the Holiday season. As a matter of fact I cannot think of a special time when you cannot wear red: Christmas, Valentine's, Thanksgiving, 4th of July, your Birthday, you name it. But this New Year's Eve why not chose a bold dark red or a rich shade of wine instead, just like I have done here. Every item I have on is textured: sequined blazer, lace+satin bustier, fringe+satin pencil skirt, leather shoes, ruffled zipper clutch, chevron fishnet tights and fury pom-pom. Even my bracelets and earrings are textured. And you know I got tassels on my ears and on my skirt and I matched them with that pom charm on my clutch which definitely stands out. I know I might have gone a little overboard with textures and tassels but it is New Year's and it is the biggest and most fun night of the year so it's OK. Plus, this Outfit is almost all monochromatic. And like I promised yesterday I am wearing all those four brands I raved about. My Black Sequined Blazer and Leather Strappy Pumps are from Bebe, the Tasseled Satin Pencil Skirt and Dainty Silver Necklace are from Express, my Garnet/Wine Lace+Satin Tiered Bustier and one of my Bracelets are from White House Black Market and my Ruffled PVC Clutch with the Fun Silver Zipper detail is from The Limited. But those Fabulous Purple Tassel Earrings which I purchased last Sunday, are from H&M (on clearance for under 4 bucks!). The Navy Fury Pom Charm on my purse is also new and it is from Target. Overall I created a look that is sophisticated but sexy, fun but classy, full of textures, sparkles, lace and metallics. I loved it. Do you?

Emerald Gold New Year's Eve.

Yesterday I shared a Special New Year's Eve post with a lot of inspiration, where I collaborated with 5 other gorgeous fashionable ladies. You can find their posts and check out their NY Outfits currently on their blogs (Alecz, Emily,  JessicaLinda and Monica). As you know I styled a Jewel-toned Cocktail Dress from Bebe. The shiny satin material, halter mini style with the bubble hem, the gorgeous blueish-teal color and the fun feather flower made it perfect for New Year's Eve. I also mentioned yesterday how Bebe is a great brand to buy Dresses for New Year's Eve and currently a lot of their nice Cocktail Dresses are on sale for $79.00. Bur besides bebe, there are three other brands who I can always count on for New Year's Eve. When it comes to finding  Dresses, Shoes, Jewelry, Clutches, Belts, Scarves, Shawls and other accessories for your New Year's Look, you can always count on ExpressThe Limited and White House Black Market. I have been a huge fan and long-time customer of all of these brands, so trust me they have everything you need this New Year's Eve, and my collage and widget below prove it.
If I would go to a Fancy New Year's Eve Party this year and had money to spend on a New Head-to-Toe Look, the Outfit above is exactly what I would splurge on. The Stunning Lace Emerald Dress, the Royal Blue Suede Platform Heels and the Gold Pave Triangle Studs in particular are totally calling my name. As I showed you yesterday, I am not afraid to wear a Bright-Colored Dress and wear Bright Shoes with it. I might have to buy the Dress above from The Limited after New Year's, on sale. The Shoes are from White House Black Market. The Stunning Black Coat (a warmer option than a Black Leather Jacket, though I do love the Black Moto Jacket also) is from Bebe. I punched up this Outfit with Gold Jewelry, that's why I called it "Emerald Gold New Year's Eve". The Triangle Studs are by Express and so is the Chevron Cuff Bracelet and that Black Tasseled Clutch. While that bold but simple Knotted Gold Necklace is from The Limited. Isn't it stunning? One beautiful, dressy, bright, fun and polished outfit to ring in 2016. This wouldn't be the first time I wore a Green Dress for New Year's Eve or a Green Dress for the Holiday Season from The Limited. I have done that before, more than once.

In the widget below I have included my top picks from these four great and quality mall brands: The Limited, White House Black Market, Express and Bebe. So many great options for you to pick out your Favorite New Year's Eve Look. And no, none of these stores are sponsoring this post. They can pay me in clothes - I don't mind. LOL
So, what are some of your favorite Dresses, Shoes, Clutches and Jewelry from above? What about a Fun Bustier? You can always grab the best bustiers at WHBM - I own at least 10 lol.
I am currently working on a brand-new post for tomorrow morning showing another NY Eve Outfit, featuring all the four brands I talked about today. Stay tuned!

2 more full days left in 2015. Crazy! Make them count!! Make them your best!!

What to Wear for New Year's Eve - Bloggers' Collaboration.

This Holiday Season I have had the pleasure to collaborate with several of my favorite bloggers and bring you Holiday-inspired Outfits for all your special December occasions.  I bring you the third Monday of my Holiday Collaborations where this time we show you our different but fun and sparkly New Year's Eve styles. First, I showed you what to wear to a Holiday Winter Wedding, then last week other mommy bloggers and myself showed you Mommy+Me Christmas Outfits - by far my favorite post this Holiday season. Today I am back all dressed up in Teal in a Fun New Year's Dress.

It is fun to see how two of us styled blue mini dresses, two of us wore beautiful white dresses and accessorized with black statement necklaces and a side braid and last but not least the other two wore sparkly/sequined mini skirts with opaque black tights, black booties and blush on top. It is like we all coordinated ahead of time. Our outfits are all quite diverse and still all perfectly proper for New Year's Eve. Besides my outfit, also don't forget to check out (clock-wise) Monica, Emily, Linda, Jessica and Alecz.

On New Year's Eve Pretty Cocktail Dresses with fun and sparkly details like sequins, beads, feathers, fringe, crystal, mixed media, leather accents etc. are definitely what one should and could wear to stand out and feel fabulous. It is after all the biggest night of the year. Materials like satin, silk, chiffon and fur should be part of your New Year's Eve Outfit, too. In the last decade or so, whenever I have dressed up and celebrated the New Year's out and about in a fun bar/club, more often than not I have worn a fun dress. At least 5 of the Dresses I have previously worn for New Year's, have been purchased at Bebe. Bebe has never let me down when it comes to special occasion dresses, especially fun cocktail ones. You can currently find other great New Year's Eve Dresses at bebe, like this absolute favorite and a great deal too, this sexy midi numberthis blush bodycon dress or this stunning piece in crystals+feathers. This little Teal Blue Satin number is also by bebe from a few years ago, albeit my first time wearing it. It features a bubble hemline, a halter neckline and this cool dark green ombre feather detail on the front waist part. The feather has a big black flower in the middle and a fun cameo inside the flower. I decided to continue with my Jeweled Tones for this New Year's Eve Inspiration and chose a matchy Patent Leather Teal Clutch, Faux Alligator+Real Suede Plum Peep-Toe Pumps and a Fur Chocolate Coat. I accessorized with a Sparkly Lavender Topaz Ring, a Gold Rose Pave Cocktail Ring, Fun Gold Pave Geometric Earrings, a Silver+White Intricate Cuff and a Faux Snakeskin+Pave Baby Pink Bangle. I applied some Mauve Lipstick, a Smoky Eye using this palette and let my hair down though a little bit wavy. I added a couple of silver bobby pins with lavender crystal heads). Unfortunately, I wasn't able to schedule an appointment with my hairdresser before Christmas - my gray roots need to be covered badly. It was misty, very chilly and very windy out so some outdoor photos are not the best either and for that I apologize. But rather than that, I am in love with this Fun Outfit. I love my dress and I love that I paired it with bright shoes, also. What do you think?

The Accessories:
Plum/Magenta Faux Alligator+Suede Peep-Toe Pumps: White House Black Market.
Dark Teal/Navy Ruched Faux Patent Leather, Fold-over Clutch: Old Navy.

Flashback Friday: New Year's Eve Inspirations.

Hello. I hope everyone had a blessed, joyful Christmas and Christmas weekend. On a style note, did you score anything cute this weekend with the after-Christmas day sales? I will be heading to some stores later today. I skipped Flashback Friday today to honor Christmas and brought you a very merry post instead. But let's do Flashback Friday on a Sunday, shall we? This week is all about some New Year's Eve Inspired Outfits since what to wear on New Year's Eve is on everyone's minds. We are only 4 nights away from the biggest night of the year.
Original Post.
This LBD styled with Opaque Black Tights and popped with red via the Peep-toe Pumps, Plaid Blanket Scarf, Clutch and Lipstick makes for a Nice New Year's Eve Outfit that is glam but yet totally comfortable and cozy. Check out the original post to see 5 other ways I styled this same sleeveless Jersey LBD for Winter.

Original Post.
Here I am wearing a LWD which is Lace with little gold specking. The Gold Sparkly Clutch perfectly went with the Winter White Gold-speckled Dress. I topped it off with a B+W Fair Isle Cardigan and also chose Black Opaque Tights and another pair of Red Peep-Toe Pumps. I added more sparkles via my drop earrings, the Swarovski headband and my bracelet.

Original Post.
This was my New Year's Eve Look when we celebrated 2012 and prior to me being a mom. I wore a Black Jersey Mini Dress covered in zig-zag Gold Sequins. I wore a skinny Leopard Patent Leather Belt, Crystal Black Earrings with Matching Bracelet, a Gold Sequined Barrette in my hair, Black Patent Leather Pumps, a Red Ruffled Clutch and a Black Tuxedo Blazer (not pictured). This is one of my most favorite outfits I have ever worn for New Year's Eve and one of my most Favorite Dresses.

Original Post.
This was a Plaid and Sparkles Collaboration I did with LINDA from a Labour of Life where we both showed you New Year's Eve Inspired Outfits where we featured something plaid and something sparkly. Plaids and Sparkles like Sequins should be part of your Holiday Outfits all of this month. I am wearing these Fancy Black Sequined Joggers with a Red+Blue Plaid Button-Down, Bronze Pumps and my Fun Magazine Cover Clutch which is such a Statement Piece.

Original Post.
This one is fun, sassy and cool. A little Hunter Green Mini (also speckled with gold) paired with Black Fishnet Tights, a Fun Mesh+Feather Fancy Hat, a Bracelet, Drop Earrings and my Gold Envelope Clutch. I would so wear this again, hat and all.

Original Post.
Another NY Eve Look and another LBD. But wait, this time I faked a Little Black Dress. I am wearing a skirt and a sweater instead. Like with 2 other looks from this post, I paired Black with some Plaid. My pop of Plaid comes via my Tights. Another thing I faked is Black OTK Boots. I am wearing Black Booties with Black OTK Socks instead. I dressed this all up with a handful of Bracelets, a Cocktail Ring, my Fun Magazine Cover Clutch and some Rose Studs.

Which are your favorite two looks above?

Stay tuned tomorrow for a very Special Collaboration New Year's Eve Post and also every day until December 31st I will show you guys some New Year's Eve Looks, than on January 1st I will be back with Vivian, showing yet another Mommy+Me Holiday Look. I promise lots of sequins, satin, heels, tuxedo blazers, feathers and fur in the next few days - oh my. Fun fun fun. So stay tuned and as always thank you for reading!
