Mom to Work Wear: Pinstriped, Ruffled Oxford Shirt.

Hello Monday. Hello Summer 2015! It is officially here - another season of sunshine, 80-90 degree weathers, shorts, sandals, fun-colored pedicures, florals, pastels, bright colors, floppy hats + fedoras, neon accessories, sundresses, maxi dresses, relaxing vacations, pool fun, voleyball, outdoor concerts, the sun, the sand, the sea and the beach. It will be an unforgettable Summer for my family and I especially for sweet little Viv, as Vivian and I are spending half of this Summer in this continent (Europe) and the other half in United States. I also apologize for not doing a Mom Wear to Work Wear Post in over two months but I haven't blogged as much in May or June and that's ok. Coincidentally, last time I styled my White Jeans for both occasions and this time, the post is aroung my Pinstriped (Periwinkle), Ruffled Oxford Shirt but White Jeans are still in the mix.
I am glad I still have a few work looks to show you guys and technically with both of my previous jobs (I am done with both my full-time and part-time job) I could wear either outfit since both my office and teaching at a private learning center didn't require a very buttoned-up business dress code. These two outfits were worn just a few days away from one-another. I am styling one of my most favorite Oxford Button-Down Shirts. This one has super-thin Periwinkle+White Pinstripes, Long Sleeves and a tiny Ruffle Collar on the front. It is a Classic  Oxford Shirt that never goes out of style and it is by White House Black Market.

For the Mom Look I paired it with my Trusty White Skinny Jeans and my New Red Floral (over white) Perforated Leather Oxfords by Nordstrom which I love. They are sold out unfortunately. I put my hair casually up and wore some Pearl Drop Earrings also by WHBM, to dress it up a little. For the Work Look - since it was earlier this Spring - I paired the Oxford with my Olive Green Corduroy Pencil Skirt. I love the buttons in front of that Skirt. I wore some Black Patent Leather Ballerinas and Gold Button Earrings which go well with the Nautical appeal of the shirt and the buttons of the skirt. These are both very simple looks accessorized only by earrings but usually less is more. I love each outfit though the skinny jean look (with my tiny pattern mixing between the striped shirt and floral shoes) is slightly a favorite, What about you?

  1. This shirt is so versatile, and I love the feminine ruffles! You created two fantastic outfits with it - but my favorite has to be the pairing with white jeans and printed sneakers. This combo is so fun and perfect for summer. =)
