The 6 Remix: Puffer Vest Collaboration styled for Winter.

The 6 Remix is a way for me to remix my closet (it used to be) every month on the 6th. I choose six pieces to remix into 6 different Outfits (not including Shoes or Accessories) or I choose one piece and style it 6 different ways. I haven't done such a post since December where I showed you 6 ways to style a Sleeveless LBD. This week I am pairing up with a Stylish Mother of Two, CARRIE from Curly Crafty Mom, where we took one of our Puffer Vests and we are each showing you guys 3 ways to wear these Puffer Vests. As we go into each outfit in detail (below) you will see that great minds think alike because Carrie and I wore our Puffer Vests very similarly.

Now, let's look at my Outfits up close.

This outfit was worn a while ago. It is the first Outfit I styled with this vest. Don't let the  Light Chambray fool you because I layered a Turtleneck Sweater underneath this and between that, the Chambray and the Puffy Vest I definitely kept warm. I wanted some Fun Pants for this Outfit to make it transition into Spring so I chose my Blue+White Paisley pair which are "Rockstar" by Old Navy. I finished off with a Long Beaded Necklace, Flower Bud Studs, my Blue Wedge Oxford Booties and some Sunglasses because it was sunny. What I loved about this particular outfit is that I am wearing so many different shades of Blue and this Brown Vest definitely pops, what do you think?
Long-Sleeve, Medium-Wash, Pullover Chambray w/ one Front Pocket: Joe Fresh (very similar by Merona, best deal, love this), (similar by Docker's, great deal), (tunic option by Loft, love this).
Silver Tone Long Necklace w/ Dainty Blue & Silver Crystal Beads: White House Black Market (similar, on sale, love this), (gorgeous option by Kenneth Cole, love this), (this year's option by WHBM, great deal).
Black, Classic, Plastic "Wayfarer" Sunglasses: Ray Ban (identical), (tortoise version by Ray Ban, love these), (similar by Marc Jacobs, great deal, love these).

This second outfit was worn sometime this week (on a semi-rainy, semi-warm Tuesday, to be exact). This outfit is all about layers, layers, layers. It was so warm and cozy. I layered an Ivory Sweater with a Military Olive Jacket and my Puffer Vest on top. For more warmth and a Bright Pop of Color (since the Navy, Cognac, Olive and Ivory I am wearing are all Neutrals) I added my Orange Plaid Scarf. At some point I felt like taking off the Vest because I was definitely very warm. So, do you think all of these layers work? Or is it too many colors and textures and patterns, all at once?
Champagne/Ivory Textured, Shimmery Sweater w/ Silk Mirror Beading detail on the Shoulders: Koton (New) (gorgeous ivory option w/ lace detail, Splurge), (gorgeous neutral cable-knit option, best deal, love this),  (black w/ silver embellishment on the sleeves, on sale, love this).
Military Green, Military-Style Jacket w/ Pockets: Ann Taylor Loft (similar by Lucky Brand, love this), (color-blocked option, best deal, love this), (similar by Levi's, great deal).
Navy Ponte, Jersey & Faux Leather Skinny Pants w/ Quilted Panels on the front: A Boutique in Tirana (very similar, great deal, love these), (gorgeous, sexy option, on sale, love these), (similar, fantastic deal), (jogger option, quilted, best deal, love these).
Mustard, Wool, Honeycomb Knit, French Beret: A Random Boutique (beanie option, great deal), (beanie pom-pom option, best deal, love this).

I proceeded the next day (on Wednesday) to wear my Brown Puffer Vest over this Ruched Royal Blue Sweater Dress (which I had yet to wear this Winter season). I paired Black with Blue because I love the combination. But despite the darker colors, I did add a Light Pink Plaid Button-down underneath the Dress and Bright Lipstick. And I felt like the Dress 'needed' the Blue Booties so that's what I chose. I dressed it up a little with my Jewelry and Swarovski Star Headband, also. What do you think of the Brown Puffer Vest over the Blue Sweater Dress?
Long Black Beaded Necklace w/ Crystal Navy & Sky Blue Beads: White House Black Market (similar, on sale, love this), (similar in black+gray, best deal), (this year's option by WHBM, great deal).
Beaded Drop Earrings w/ 1 Black & 1 Navy Crystal Stones: White House Black Market (similar by Kenneth Cole, great deal), (similar w/ faceted crystals by Kenneth Cole, best deal, love these), (similar by JC Penney, best deal).
Black Beaded Bracelet w/ Pearl, Crystal & Coin Charms: White House Black Market (very similar, great deal, love this), (similar, love this), (fun option w/ Domo beads, best deal).
Thin Silver Bangle (part of a set): F21.
Metallic Black Skinny Bracelet w/ Blue Ombre Crystal Star: Swarovski.
Black, Lightly-Ribbed, See-through Tights: Omsa.

Here is one last look of our Outfits side by side. First Carrie's and then mine.
First of all I love Carrie's Raspberry or is it Plum Puffer Vest. It is a lighter shade of Burgundy and Marsala is the color of the year, no? When I received her photos and saw her outfits, I laughed a little because we were so in sync styling our Puffer Vests. She chose Jeans twice and one of the times she wore Jeans, she layered with a Patterned Scarf just like I did. The other time she wore her BF Jeans with a Military Jacket and a top underneath and I too layered my Vest with a Military Jacket as you saw. I think that Outfit of Carrie's with the Military Jacket is by far my favorite, what about your favorite of hers? Last but not least, we styled our Vests with a Dress too. Coincidentally, we both chose Dark Blue Dresses. Love that Carrie went Monochrome with the Blue Tights also and those cute Leopard Ballet Flats, definitely pop!

So, lots of Blue in this collage. With the exception of the middle Outfit which features several colors, I wore a lot of Blue otherwise and even similar Long, Beaded Necklaces and the same Blue Oxford Booties on the 1st and 3rd looks above. Though I didn't do any Jeans like Carrie, I did wear Skinny Pants both times that I paired the Vest with Pants. Though I love the Brown Vest over my Blue Sweater Dress this Outfit is probably my second favorite look. I absolutely love how the Vest looks with all the shades of Blue and those Paisley Skinny Pants - my Most Favorite. What about you, which one is your favorite look I wore? And if you made it this far, thanks so much for reading.

  7. I really love each and every way you styled your puffer vest, Ada. I think they are all my favorite, I can't pick just one. You will laugh at this, but I almost wore my puffer with a chambray shirt, too... but, the shirt was in the wash, so I decided to do a sweater instead! lol! I love your blue dress combo and those tights with the booties, so chic! Also, I have several pairs of Rockstair jeans/skinnies from ON and I love each and every pair!
