My New Navy Blazer and a Vivian Milestone.

I am posting late today but better late than never. So let's get to it, shall we? But first how is my little Vivian 16 months already (today)? Where did the past months go by? Looking at her newborn pictures and all the way through the first 6 months of her life, my gosh how much she has changed. My little flower continues to bloom more beautiful and her sassy personality shows more each day!! I spent all morning and afternoon with her today (taking a day off from daycare). I took her walking and to the park and played with her till she got bored and cranky LOL. But seriously it was a great day and the weather was nice and pretty warm. Her 16-month birthday found her with a new tiny tooth on hermouth, too. LOL And speaking of Vivian please vote for her first here and then here. Thank you kindly. =)

For someone who owns 10 Black Blazers, it was time a Navy one entered my closet, right? I had looked high+low for one that was a Classic Style, preferably Ponte and maybe with a cute lining so if I cuffed the sleeves, it would look nice too. Of course, something $50 and less (preferably). This Navy Blazer would satisfy the void in my closet and be a staple for work and even more casual days. So, the first time I wore it was on April, (one of the 2 times I "cheated" on my 30 for 30 challenge). I was interviewing and going to job fairs too, so for this particular day I wanted something very tailored and professional-looking and none of my clothes from the 30 for 30 were quite right. I kept the look Basic and Elegant by wearing some Dressy, Light Gray Trousers and a Baby Blue+White Striped Oxford Shirt (both the Pants & Shirt from Express). The end results is an Outfit that feels like a Suit but isn't one. I ended up feeling very Polished in this "Suit" and that's a lot thanks to my New Navy, Ponte Blazer. Do you own a Navy Blazer? How have you worn it?

  6. I don't actually own a navy blazer but at times definitely wish I did!! I'm glad to see you found one in the style you were looking for! And don't feel bad cheating on the 30x30. I couldn't wear any of the outfits I chose to work so technically I cheated everyday. Oops!
