35 of 30: The Last One.

Hello from this semi-sunny Saturday. Yes, it is finally pretty sunny (though a little over-cast) and a little warmer here. Which is good because this is technically my Birthday Weekend since my Birthday is tomorrow. =) I already feel so accomplished this Saturday, because while Vivian was on daycare for 3 and a half hours I did a lot around the home. I cleaned the bathroom, including the toilet, sink and everything else. I organized my Shampoos/Conditioners/Bathroom Necessities. I did the Dishes. I took off a load of laundry from the washing machine and put in another one. I still have to fold a lot of clothes and put them away and I am half-way done with cooking lunch for today but still, that's not bad for just a few hours.

I am bringing you the 35th and final (sort of) Outfit from my 30 for 30 challenge. I say sort of the last one, because technically I wore 3 other Outfits with my 30 pieces (including an Outfit after this one) but they were not photographed due to no time. For this last Outfit I faked a Black Suit (doesn't it look like I am wearing a Suit from first glance?!) by pairing my Black Blazer with my Black Skinny Jeans. But truly the Red Portofino Shirt is the Star of this Outfit and the pop of Color. I also added some Red Lipstick and a pop of Leopard because the Bow on my Headband is indeed Leopard. Just a Simple, Classic Look adding a little bit of Girly. Once again I went for an Outfit Formula I have tried before (faking a Pant-Suit) and for a Favorite Color Combination of Red+Black. This is another Outfit where I faked a Black Suit with this very same Blazer, while I was 9 months pregnant. How do you like my Last Outfit for the remix? Do you own one or several of these Amazing Portofino Shirts by Express? If not, RUN do not walk to Express to get one or three. =P I have several of them currently in my Birthday Wish List.
Pros: A Simple and Classic Outfit in a Simple and Classic Color Combination. This Outfit can go from Mom Errands to Work.
Cons: It is not the most Creative Outfit. It may look a little boring. And maybe my Leopard Flats would have matched better.
Red, Loose-Fit, Silky, Button-Down "Portofino" Blouse: Express.
Modern, Black Blazer w/ Rounded Collar: White House Black Market.
Black Skinny Jeans: Sublevel (New).
Lariat Necklace w/ Different-sized Black+Gray Beads: White House Black Market (I love this Necklace).
Leopard-Print, Navy, Beige & Brown Headband: Bijoux & Accessories.
Charcoal-Black, Patent Leather Belt w/ Intricate Gold Buckle: Thrifted (New).
Black, Suede Oxford Shoes: Forever 21.

Here are all the 3 ways I have remixed my Red Portofino Button-down during the 30 for 30. Which Outfit do you like best?

OK. I will be taking the day off to relax and celebrate (a little) tomorrow. I will see you all here Monday with a Fresh, Spring, Birthday Outfit. Enjoy your weekend, everyone! Ciao!!

P.S. Linking up with Rekita, Mindie, Rebecca, Claire, Doranda, Jen, Caitlin and Lauren.

  3. That red shirt is really nice! :) I usually pass off my black jeans as black pants for work - you can't always tell the difference in a meeting room, haha! :) Does look a little suit-like with the blazer :)
