9 of 30 and 10 of 30: An Owl and a Bow; Cobalt and Brown.

Today's Two-fer Outfits don't have anything in common, at first glance at least. But, while looking carefully at them they both feature Graphic Tops. And they both are Layered. The first Outfit features a Graphic Sweater, the ever popular Animal Sweaters (for the last year the most popular ones have been those featuring Owls). I like to call this a "Statement Sweater" because it is. I paired it with my Cobalt Skirt and Chambray Button-up underneath and thought it was the perfect pair. I cannot believe it took me 9 Outfits to finally wear both this Sweater and my Chambray, or to re-wear my Cobalt Pencil Skirt for that matter. And look, bare legs 3 days in a row. However, after the 10th Outfit it got cool again. As a matter of fact, I have been fighting a little cold for 2 days now. Vivian had a bad virus and strep throat too. No more fever for her but she still isn't feeling 100% and is fighting an awful cough. I finally took her to day-care today after 5 days off. She was cranky all day, her teachers said, poor little girl.
Pros: Who knew a Cobalt Pencil Skirt would go with this Owl Sweater so well? I also like the mixing of my Metallic Colors: Bronze Wedges with the Gold Headband & Bracelet.
Cons: None. I love this Outfit head to toe.
Heather Gray, "Owl" Statement Sweater: Old Navy.
Light Chambray Button-Down Shirt w/ Chest Pockets: Meijer's.
Cobalt, Ponte Pencil Skirt w/ Gold Buttons off the Left side (on the front): The Limited (New).
Royal Blue, Crystal, Beaded Dangly Earrings: White House Black Market.
Gold, Snake Wrap Bracelet: Bebe.
Gold, Leather Headband w/ Skinny Side Bow: J.Crew.
Bronze/Taupe Metallic, Round-Toe Wedge Pumps w/ Buckle Decorations: Andrew Geller (New).

While the second Outfit features a White V-Neck, Graphic Tee which I got for free, while the Pants were on sale for $7.50 - nice sale no?! It has a Leopard-printed Bow on it and says "Fancy Girl". I paired it with some pieces I had yet to wear during this challenge such as my Brown Cords and my Open Gold/Neutral Cardigan. A very Easy Outfit. Perfect for a Sunday morning walking around the neighborhood with Vivian and having coffee. There is a slight pattern-mixing going on between the Leopard Flats & Plaid Scarf which are both in the Brown/Nude/Black Colors. I like both Outfits but I love the first one. It can very much work for semi-casual office jobs, too. What do you think?
Pros: Simple, Easy-peasy, Pretty Chic and Super Comfy.
Cons: Not the most "earth-shattering" Outfit for a Style Blogger. But keeping it real folks.
Oatmeal-Gold, Flyaway Cardigan w/ Long Collar: White House Black Market.
White, Long-Sleeve, V-Neck, Graphic Tee w/ Bow: c/o B+B Fashions (New).
Hazelnut-Brown, Corduroy Pants (come with Skinny Belt): Bershka (New).
Neutral, Plaid, Burberry-inspired, 100% Silk Scarf: c/o A Local Boutique (New).
Royal Blue, Crystal, Beaded Dangly Earrings: White House Black Market.
Leopard & Black, Calfskin & Patent Leather, Cap-Toed Ballet Flats: White House Black Market.

Let's do a short recap of the first 10 Outfits so far.
I have worn all of my Bottoms (Skirts, Pants & Dresses) at least once. All of my Shoes too, even the 2 pairs I didn't include (my Nude Pumps & my Floral Boots), and all of my Cardigans. But many tops haven't made it into rotation, such as the Red Portofino Blouse by Express, the Polka Dot Gray/Purple Blouse by Old Navy and my Silver Blazer. But within the next week, I am hoping to have "sampled" everything, ladies and gents.

Enjoy your Friday. Hope it's warm+sunny. It is currently chilly+rainy, here.

  2. I love owls and what a cute sweater and chambray pair up. I hope Vivian gets back to her normal self, poor thing. I hate having cranky sick kids and I have 4 so that would definitely not be fun if they all got sick. Thanks for your comment and for coming by my blog. It's been awhile since I came by here. Glad I did again. Rachel xo

  3. I have the same owl sweater and haven't had too much opportunity to wear it since our winter was so hot. I really like it paired with the blues - so pretty!
