An Announcement and an Outfit.

This blog announcement isn't anything mind-blowing or with epic proportions of any sorts (lol) but it is new to me so here it goes. For the last year I have been toying with the idea of doing a 30 for 30 (made famous years ago by Kendi), but for some reason it has never been the right time, or I have always wanted to explore my closet (having more options than 30 clothing items), I have wanted to try out new items I purchased or re-discover old ones in my closet, etc. etc. Finally, at the beginning of this month, I told myself I would do it (for April) and so I am. I have already gotten a head start with it this week so I can be ready with my first outfit by Tuesday April 1st. This challenge itself has several challenges within (for me) but I will let you know more about it when I post the 30 items I chose to remix for 30 days. I am really glad I am doing it though, since some of my blogging friends like Jess, Inge, and Brynn have already done this challenge before, some more than once, with excellent results.

Now that that's over, let's move on to the Outfit I had planned for today. I wanted to show some Pink (in this case Fuchsia) at the end of the week since Fridays RENAE of Simple Sequins - who bless her heart is fighting a battle against Breast Cancer - does her Weekly Link Up Fashion Item Friday so like the past Fridays this month, I am honoring her and wearing Pink. This is the Bold, Bright, Animal-print Sweater I purchased (among other things) in February. I thrifted it for 7 bucks which is kind of expensive for a Thrifted Top, considering that these Navy Skinny Pants (brand new) were also purchased for 7 bucks down from $29. But I had to have the Sweater - it spoke to me. Plus it is a long Tunic Style and I wear lots of Leggings as a SAHM and it was pretty much brand-new. The Pants are Ponte in the back (with pockets) and Jersey in the front with the Quilted Faux Leather panels. Pretty cool and unlike many Leather/Ponte Skinny Pants that are fashionable these last few months. My Black+Navy Oxford Shoes worked perfectly with them. Vivian has her Leopard Suit on, too. =) Are you wearing Tops with Animal faces these days or are they not for you? And how do you feel about Faux Leather Skinny Pants/Leggings?And in case you are wondering, I got some more high-lights in my hair, how do you like them? Enjoy the Weekend and Thank You for reading.

  8. I'm just now catching up with this...can't wait to follow along as you do this challenge! Get ready to do laundry more often, but I always thought that it does make getting ready each morning a lot easier since you have less items to choose from. :)
