Short + Polo Shirts and keeping it Real.

Hello Loves. How was your Monday? How was your weekend? I did a little shopping today and purchased some beautiful dresses for Vivian and a couple of Joe Fresh items for myself. Did you do any shopping this weekend? What did you get? There sure were a lot of sales out there with Columbus day being today. On top of all that, the weather was beautiful. It was warm enough yet a little breezy. The sun was out.

I am showing you 2 very simple Outfits with Shorts & Polo Shirts today. They were both worn around home and the second Outfit was worn for shopping at Wal Mart, too. Yes, I am a Fashion Blogger. I am a Woman. I love Style. I Love Fashion. I love Blogging about Fashion & Clothes. I love Shopping. But I am also a Human Being. I am a Mom, a stay-at-home Mom even. So sometimes super simple is the way I go. These Outfits are super simple by blogger standard but they are me just as much as my Pencil Skirts, Leather Pants, Flirty Dresses & Girly Blouses. Because sometimes I care more about Comfort than the latest Trends. Today I am keeping it Real. And the REAL ME wears Shorts, Polo Shirts, Flip-Flops and doesn't care about whether it is stylish or not. The REAL ME pulls her hair in a bun with a clip and doesn't wear make-up sometimes. I have some questions for you ladies. Do you show all or almost all of your Outfits on the blog, including those on your casual days? Do you show your 'Mom' or 'Running Errands' Outfits, or those that are super casual like I am dressed today? Or does having a Fashion Blog changed your every-day look or changed your mind about not having to show those not so blog-worthy Outfits? Keep it real & tell me the truth. Thank you. =)

Anyway, both of these Outfits feature Shorts & Polo Shirts. I must have been a Preppy Child in my earlier life, because digging through my huge closet and lots of drawers here in USA, I realized I purchased/owned several Polo Shirts. Now that I look at them I like them for the most [art (paired with the right thing) but I do not need them all. After wearing both of these, I decided to let them go, because they fit a little bit too snug & too short for my body & my taste. I was gonna let go of my Baby Blue Shorts from Abercrombie, too (yes, I have had them for at least a decade), but they still fit and they make my butt look good, so I kept them. The Cobalt Shorts with the Palm Trees that I purchased earlier this Summer, I love, however. And yes, both of these Outfits were worn on some rather hot October days so I got more Hot Pink for you. What do you think?

  1. Your blue shorts are so fun! Everything that I post, I actually wear. I do work full time and would love to play dress up but there's no time. I guess that's why most of my pictures are work clothes ;) Even on my casual days, I never leave the house with sweats or no make up. I just don't feel good to run around all day with yoga pants or messy hair - I just can't pull it off.

    1. You look great all the time and you always look so polished & chic and quite dressy for work. So for me, you do 'play' dress up.

  2. I love that you keep it real! Some blogs I cannot relate to when they show outfits that are head to toe designer and dressed to the nines. I prefer blogs like yours that I can relate to. I post lots of my casual outfits cause some days it is just a jeans a tee kind of day.
Love those palm tree shorts - adorable!

    1. First of all thanks so much. That is why I relate to you as well because you are real and you do post many of your casual outfits.

  3. Yep, keeping it real is why I follow your blog and others like that. The blogs that have what I presume are staged photo shoots don't appeal to me because they don't fit in with my lifestyle. All outfits that are the blog are real. They have been worn at some point and were photographed.

To answer your question, the blue dresses that Kayla and I both had on we wore to my cousin's wedding. Her colors were black and a sage green so we wanted to be totally different so we didn't look like the bridal party. Me and Kayla both wore black floor length dresses to my sister's wedding.

    1. I know, you and Kayla are as real as can be - things to look forward to, with Vivian. You know I love your blog because of that. I hate staged photos and you can so tell they are staged, too.

You ladies looked awesome with the Blue Dresses on and I'd love to see the floor-length Dresses, as well.

    1. Yes, some days. Fast-forward 2 weeks later and that is definitely not the case. You need coats now, out. LOL You know how Michigan is.

  6. Great summer outfits Ada. I wish i could still wear shorts. Much too cold here, but at least it's not raining.

    1. I know rain makes it all worse and bitter. I'd rather have it be a little colder and not rain.

  7. For the most part, I try to show all my outfits unless I was lounging around the house in sweats for the day! I do put a little more effort into my outfits now that I have the blog, but that was kind of the point of starting my blog. I wanted to push myself to be more stylish. Polo shirts and shorts are definitely things I wear and I like how you used color and some pattern to take the outfits up a notch. :)

    1. I know you do girl. You are real that's why. =) Polo Shirts + Shorts are great for hot Summer days, spent with a baby. Thanks for the compliment too. Between the colors & a little bit of pattern it is not too blah.

  8. I really like your top outfit with the white shorts and orange polo! I wish I took more photos of myself but I forget a lot of the time! I think I will try to do it more often for the blog! I think sometimes the blogs we see that look like "fake outfits" actually are real, but they just get clothing from companies to show off OR have a lot more money than me! lol! Thanks for linking up again with Time for Mom this week! :)

    1. I know. I always wonder how so many bloggers get free stuff all the time. To me is not as much because they have better taste than me or dress better than me. It is because they market/sell their blog better, spend more time on it, advertise more, run giveaways all the time and so on. My pleasure linking up with you & Krystal.

  9. Hi Ada
Glad you kept the A&F shorts, because i agree with you, they DO look good.
I guess you and i were both preppy kids in a previous life because i too own a lot of polo shirts that don't get worn that much.
