Faux Leather, Patent Leather and Frilly Floral Pretties.

I have wanted a Black Leather Skater Skirt for a while. Not necessarily Real Leather. The Leather trend is super Popular as are Skater Skirts. I saw 3 of them I loved (under 75 bucks) but still $70 for a Faux Leather, Trendy Skirt is too expensive in my opinion. One of the three I saw is the one below (I am wearing today). I saw it at Lord & Taylor & Carson's, retaling for $69. Though I found a coupon for 20% off from Lord & Taylor (my favorite department store, by the way), I still thought it was too much. Then, one day a couple of weeks ago my mom and I went to Marshall's to look for Fall Shoes/Boots & Baby Stuff. There - without even looking, I swear - I saw the Skirt I wanted from Lord & Taylor. And it was $14.99. So without even trying it on I grabbed a size Medium (it runs more like Junior sizes; if it was Ladies I would have grabbed a Small) and I even grabbed another Skater Skirt for the same price. For about 32 bucks I purchased not one but two adorable skirts. They both fit great, by the way.

The first time ever I wore this Skirt was on Sunday, for a Baby Shower. I planned this Outfit in my head since when I purchased the Skirt. I am glad this Girly, Floral Blouse worked with it, as good as it did on my head lol. The Blazer is so pretty too (My Favorite) and it has the prettiest Collar, with cascading Ruffles. I, also, got more Ruffles on my Clutch. Though the (Faux) Leather Skirt is a little bad-ass (despite being quilted), the Blouse & Blazer play up with the Feminine Silhouette of the Skirt. I paired it with my Nude Patent Heel Pumps. Though they are super Comfy and not very High, carrying a baby plus gifts was tough on my feet, so I brought my Comfy Wedges with me and switched into those, once I arrived at the Shower. Wearing this Leather Skirt for the first time was perfect for the Leather Challenge for Today's Trend Spin Link-up with Laura & Erin, as well as Thursday's Spotlight Weekly Link-up with Elle & Jacqueline. How do you like the first Outfit I styled around this Faux Leather Skirt?

And look here. One of my Most Favorite Bloggers and Fashionistas (and I bet one of your Favorites, too), Pretty Mom-to-Be Yi-Chia was wearing this Very Similar Outfit on her Blog today. I swear My Outfit is not a Copy-cat Look, since I already wore it on Sunday. But My Gosh: Great Minds think alike. We got Wide Sleeve Blouses & Leather Skater Skirts in mind. One more thing: I thought about wearing Leather Booties with this Skirt, too.

Here are some pictures from the Baby Shower. The Pretty Blonde Lady, in the Hi-Lo Red Dress is the Expectant Mom. Baby is due in late November.
These are the Gifts I took to the Shower. I, purchased the Patterned Gift Bags on purpose, rather than your typical Baby Gift Bags. Aren't they Pretty AND Girly? And I really wanted to make a big Diaper Cake - I do know how to make them. But they do take a lot of time and I didn't have my Mom to help me or anything. Vivian is at that age where she is all over the page and she wants to touch everything, so making the Diaper Cake was not in the cards, this time.

P.S. I am linking with Laura and the following Fashioniable Pretties.
