Week's Best Looks: May 26th 2013.

Welcome to another Super Stylish Sunday/Monday. I post this Weekly Feature either real late Sundays or on Mondays and with the time difference between Europe & US, it is usually Monday. Anyway... Maxi Dresses are still The Trend of the week it seems like - as far as an item of clothing goes. Florals are the Trend this week - as far as a Print goes. The most Popular Floral going strong this week is a Rose Print, we see it on Pants, on a Blouse, all the way to a Dress. But speaking of Prints we also have several Black+White Stripped Tops & even a Skirt, some Black+White Polka Dots, a little bit of Camouflage, a little bit of Nautical through an Anchor Graphic T-Shirt as well as a Clutch, a couple of Chevron pieces, some Ethnic/Ikat Prints & some Animal Prints. Lots of Printed Denim in the shape of Skinny Pants being put into Dressy Outfits. We have a couple of Hot Pink Blazers remixed, a couple of Denim Jackets & Vests, some Olive Green Pants & Jackets, a couple of Peter Pan Collared Tops & a couple of White Dresses. The Ladies this week styled their outfits with simple T-Shirts from Colored & Stripped ones to a Classic White Tee which we see worn 4 different ways from 4 different girls. Last but not least we have many Shorts this week, most of which are Bermuda length Denim ones, but even short Denim cut-offs and Dressier Shorts. The trend in Handbags continues to be either big Slouchy, Leather Purses or the Popular Clutch, with several Designer Bags from Celine or Louis Vuitton in the mix. The trend in shoes is usually Wedges or Chunky Heels Sandal-style mostly in two tones, like Gold+Tan or White+Camel. Another trend in shoes is Stiletto Pumps adorned with Gold Studs from Beige to Black pairs. But I also noticed some Booties this week, perhaps the ladies are wearing them once more before Spring is over. Zara wins in shoe brands this week, just as a fun curiosity. We have 3 Fedora(s) remixed when it comes to Hats. The trend in belts is Gold Metallic ones in a Fun Chain Style. And last but not least the Jewelry is very much alive through Arm Parties from Gold to Pearls, Rhinestones, Colored Bangles, Cuffs & Classic Watches. The trend in Necklaces this week is Statement Necklace (not the Bubble kind) with Crystals, Long Beaded Necklace or Necklaces featuring pieces in Geometric shapes. While the hair is Down & Loose, in Large, Soft Waves or a Casual, Loose Braid.

As far as names this week, we have a lot of Cool, Unusual or not very Wide-spread Names like Star, Ashton, Nydia, Libby, Elise, Victoria, Janise & Bethie. We have 2 Amber(s), 2 Hannah (2), 2 Ana (s), 2 Niki(s) and 2 Lauren (s). There are 21 new faces on this week's special. Welcome them all!! I think this is the most New Faces ever. So, I kindly ask that if you like this feature and if one of your outfits or more are featured here, just like I linked back to each  individual post, you include a link of this particular post on your blog, next time you post. This way your readers & followers will also know that one of your looks was chosen as THE BEST OF THE WEEK. Thanks so much. =)

Hope you all had a Memorable, warm & not rainy Memorial Day Weekend!! Happy Memorial Monday!!

This Week's Best/Most Favorite Outfit is JOANNA of Coastal Closet.
Joanna's Chevron Dress-as-Skirt Outfit is so Simple but it attracted me the most this week, right away. First of all I love Blue & she looks Great in this Color. Secondly, the Dress has 4 different Water Shades. Then she wears a Classic, Navy Cardigan. I happen to think Neutral Cardigans should be staples in a woman's closet. Joanna pairs these 2 pieces with a Classic Round-face Silver Watch, matching Bracelet & Beautiful Woven, Silver Wedges. But the icing on the cake is that Adorable Anchor Clutch which matches her Silver Anchor Necklace by Tiffany's. The name of her blog is Coastal Closet so she stays true to that. This Girl loves her Anchors.

Best Dressed this week is TAMARA of Ordinary Fashionista who had a Fabulous Week full of Skirts, Colorful Pieces, Stripes, Polka Dots & even some Plaid in the mix. As usual she paired them with Stunning Pumps or Bow Peep-Toe Heels & one of her Many Headbands. And besides being a Fabulous Dresser, Tamara is just as Talented as she crafted/sew some of these Skirts herself. Lastly, during the month of May she challenged herself never to wear the same piece of clothing twice (excluding Shoes & Accessories/Jewelry).
1st Skirt is a Blue/Black Plaid made by Tamara herself paired with a Retro Black+Gold, High-Collared Blouse which was an Impulse Buy (totally justifiable). A Black Bow Bracelet & a pair of Nude Bow Pumps complete it off.
2nd Skirt tricks us because it is a Dress worn backwards (self-made by the Lady), mixing Black+White Stripes+Polka Dots with some Purple & some Stunning, Alligator, Maroon, Pointy Pumps.
3rd Skirt is also an original by Tamara in some Soft-Colored, Spring Stripes with a Plum Button Down, a Beautiful, Crystal Necklace with Large Gems & Nude Pointy Pumps.
4th Skirt is this Nice Plum one by Target which she pairs with a Stunning Rosey-Blush Silk Shell & Purple Cardigan staying within the same Color Palette. She adds a Leopard Belt & Pumps with Simple, Silver Pearls.
5th Skirt is Burnt Orange Lace, Pencil Style made by Tamara, paired with a Soft Blush, Ruffly Shell, a Beaded Orange/Blush Statement Necklace & a Soft Blush Flower on her Raven Hair.
6th Skirt is another Lacey one paired with Navy Stripes & a Kelly Green Cardigan, adding a Colorful Red+Gold Beaded Necklace. She has matching Satin, Red Bows through the Shoes & Headband.
Last Skirt has Funky Dots paired with a Wine+Black Satin Bustier & a Multi-Colored Stripey Cardigan. She finishes it off with Patent Leather Black Bow Pumps, a Chain, Pearl & Flower Bracelet and a Pink Rose Headband.

I love this Royal Blue Bubble Skirt. I love this Purple Tee with the Satin Crew-neck & Bow around the neckline. They are both from My Favorite Store - The Limited. I love both of these Colors. I am loving both of these pieces paired together for a Simple, Elegant & Girly Look. I added my Leather Fuchsia/Orange Python Ballet Flats & a Fuchsia Plastic Bracelet, put my little girl in a coordinating Outfit with some Purple and called it a day.

So what do you think of this Week's Looks? What are some of your Favorites & Why?

P.S. Linking up with these three ladies.

    1. You are welcome Ida. You had a lovely All-White Outfit. I loved it. I agree and many others agree that Purple looks great on me. Many years ago, before my mother-in-law was that (before I was married) she told me that Purple looks Fantastic on me. I think she might have been the 1st one to say that & it stuck with me as a compliment.

  6. Thanks for featuring me again! I really appreciate it! You had asked about my bun so I thought I'd share my secret with you. Or my lack of a secret. lol. I don't use a sock, it's just all my real hair. I just pull my hair up like you would if you were going to do a pony tail, then wrap my hair into a bun and secure it with a hair tie and some bobby pins. I've done the sock bun before but my hair is so thick that when I do the sock bun, my bun is the size of my head. lol. I hope that answers your question :)

    1. Thanks for explaining in detail your sock bun to me. LOL I would have never guessed it wasn't a donut or sock at all. I have thick hair too but my regular buns don't look like yours and I still haven't perfected the sock bun look, though I have a donut and everything. LOL I will definitely take my time next time I do a bun and maybe have it look like yours. Thanks again.
