No Longer Neglected - Knit Dress, Flyaway Cardi, Python Tights.

Happy Monday Ladies. How is this week starting off for you? And how is the weather in your part of the world? It was sort of chilly here today, windy and cloudy, but I still took my Baby Girl out bundled in her Fleece Suit - which is white - so she looked like a cute little bunny in it. Then I added a couple of light blankets on top of her and we went for a stroller ride in the little park area, in front of our apartment building. She loves being outside and loves the fresh air.

Today's outfit features 3 items I have had for a while, especially the dress and tights, but haven't worn much or not at all. Smart and Beautiful Kate is doing a great challenge for this month, challenging herself to wear items she has never worn before, clothes with tags still on, or clothes she hasn't worn in a long time. She is calling it No Longer Neglected and I decided to follow suit this month and challenge myself to wear items I have never worn, clothes I have owned for years, or clothes that have gotten very little use.

Today I am doing just that. The cotton knit tunic dress has been in my wardrobe since Fall of 2009 and I think I may have only worn it twice before (I remember only one of those times). A few months ago, my Sister-in-Law went through my dresses (she borrows my clothes every now & then) and this dress was hidden in there. She loved it & borrowed it. At the time I was 8 months pregnant and thought to myself, too bad I hadn't worn this dress. Since it's blousy (style-wise) and it has always felt sort of large on me, even-though it is in my size (small), it would have been great for me to wear a few times while pregnant, but I didn't. Plus it has pockets. The Flyaway Cardigan I purchased in Early Fall 2011 when I was working at White House Black Market. I might have worn it a couple of times to work. I also wore it once while I was pregnant and that's it. It is a great stretchy knit and I love the color & stripes. Plus it looks great over the dress so I thought why not. Last but not least, these footless Python Tights are brand-new, meaning I took them off their bag (took the tags off) for the first time, when I wore this outfit. They are from Express and I do not remember how long I have had them, but at least 3 years. As a matter of fact, I went through my tights/leggings and found many I had purchased at Express and never worn before. Anyway, I got a little Print Mixing going on too between the Stripes & Python Print. So, Dress, Cardigan & Tights You are NO LONGER NEGLECTED from me. =) These photos/outfit are prior to my hair coloring. See, last week I retouched my gray roots and even chopped off 3 inches from my hair. I felt renewed let me tell you. Ohh and by the way, I take photos with Vivian almost daily, so get used to seeing her often, even when I am doing outfit posts. =)
