My Baby Story: 36 Weeks.

To My Baby Girl:

Oh My Beautiful Little One. We are getting so close. As of this week I am on Maternity Leave, taking a little break while I relax, get ready & prepare for your arrival. Mommy needs to clean & make the house ready for you & your arrival. But mommy also needs to sleep & relax, that way I am ready for you 100% of the time and when you wake me up at night. But it is all going to be worth it. I cannot wait for you. 2-3 more weeks left, or maybe a little longer if you decide to still snuggle inside mommy's belly.

Mom Loves You. Dad Loves You. Our Sweet Little Princess.

How Far Along: 36 weeks, pretty much full-term.
Total Weight Gain: 19-20 lbs or so. All the doctors say that is the perfect normal weight gain so far.
Baby Measurements & Weight: By now you should have gained a little bit more weight & weigh about 2.800 kg. I hope so, you need to still grow up.
Stretch Marks? I am not sure, I haven't really looked. I have to take a mirror and look to the sides & bottom of the belly, it is hard bending down. There is this perfect straight line going right across the belly in the middle, by the belly button, but I think it's because my skin has opened up & adjusted to the round belly. I keep forgetting but I have used some Almond Oil every now & then.
Maternity Clothes? Yes. For sure.
Best moment this week: Just relaxing in general and being able to sleep whenever I can.
Miss Anything? A part of me misses my old body. I am not huge by any means, but having a belly makes it hard doing certain things.
Movement: Yes, DAILY. Some are soft kicks & some are definitely louder.
Food Cravings: Sweets & Desserts. The sweet tooth has definitely kicked in, in the last 3-4 weeks.
Gender: Baby Girl.
Belly button in or out? Definitely a lot more out than in. Getting more out each day.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: This week I have been a little more moody, because a part of me is nervous. I feel like I am so close to her birth & there are still A TON of things to do.
Looking forward to: Getting stuff done. There is still so much to do. We are also looking forward to a small Pregnancy photo-shoot tomorrow. That will be fun. I might bring a couple of little props.

  1. I bet you'll have fun looking back on these posts once she's born! I hope the photo shoot goes well. That's such great idea to do that and it'd be fun to hear about the props you decided to take with you! :)
