Black + White, Girly Chic!!

Hello All. It has been a while since I posted an Outfit which will put me behind once again. But this week I have dealt with some health-related things and on top of that time has really flown by. All is good, as far as the health thing goes. I will keep you UP-TO-DATE. :-) Plus, Monday-Wednesday, I had three super-busy days at work. Those days I barely had time to take my lunch-break. And since I usually do my Blog Postings at work, on my down-time or during breaks, this called for me to not be able to post for the last 3 days. Once again, I do apologize. But I have a new outfit for you today and more outfits for this weekend. :-)

Here I am remixing another fun Geometric-Print Black & White Skirt w/ a Tuxedo-Ruffled Ivory, Silk Blouse for a fun yet chic outfit (worn to work). I am also wearing one of my favorite pairs of sandals. They are comfortable, cute, girly and just glitzy enough.

Wishing you all a Happy TGIF and a Lovely Weekend Ahead!!

Friend Friday: One-Time Wearer or Re-Mixer?

FRIEND FRIDAY: One-Time Wearer or Re-Mixer?!

1. Are you a one-time wearer?
No, I am not a one-time wearer. If by that you mean if I wear the same exact outfit the same exact way then yes I am a one-time wearer. Because truth be told I may even pair the same pieces together (same top and same buttom) but I will do something different every time I pair them together, like change the shoes, wear different accessories, add a scarf, etc. I like to remix my clothes, even-though I have a large wardrobe and own a ton of pieces. I feel like if I remix, not only do I give my clothes and my closet a fair chance, but I also look different and wear that outfit the way I meant to style or wear it that particular day.

2. Do you feel the need to purchase something new for an evening out or a special event?
Even-though I have done that often, I haven't really felt the need to purchase something for a special occassion or event. My closet is filled with lots of dresses and I own a lot of fancy or cocktail/party dresses and other dressy items. I am never one of those people that if I have a sudden or not so-sudden event to go to, I need to run to the nearest store or mall and purchase something to wear. Of course, to "lie to myself" that I need something since I have a wedding or an event coming, I have at times looked for and/or even purchased new items. But truth be told, there is no such void - for special-event clothing - in my current closet.

3. Re-mixing is something a lot of bloggers are proud of being able to accomplish - are you a re-mixing pro or do you shy away from posting items frequently? Why?
I would not consider myself a remixing pro, since I have a tooooon of clothes and even own over 100 pieces I have never worn before or who are still in tags. However I definitely know and love to remix my wardrobe, so even if I may not call myself a PRO, I definitely feel that I am real good at it. But, at the same time, I try to give new pieces or pieces that I don't wear too often, a chance, so I wear them as well. I do get the "You never wear the same thing twice" or "You always have something new, on" comments every now and then and it may be or appear true, since I have a large closet, but my closet is remixable nevertheless. And I like to think of my closet as custom-made or taylored to me. I think every woman's closet should look and feel like they are made perfectly for her and only her.

4. Do you have a clothing budget or are you an impulse buyer?
A little bit of both. When I lived in USA, I was definitely a more Impulse Buyer than anything, and at times I had Buyer's Remorse but mostly I did not. Now that I live in Europe where my pay and my space are a lot smaller and limited, I buy less and I have given myself a monthly budget. At times I have gone way over it. But sometimes, I have been below it, as well. I don't ever want to go over 150$ every other month. I will try and usually do stay at 100$ a month, but every 2-3 months I might make it 150 bucks, instead.

5. Do you find yourself bored when reading a blog in which clothing items are often remixed and appear frequently?
No, not at all. Those kind of blogs inspire me and make me look at my own closet differently. Almost all bloggers, especially the most successful and popular ones (like Kendi, J's Everyday, Kasmira, etc.) remix their closets on a daily basis. Yet they always look so sharp and put-together and like they have new clothes on. That's the beauty of remixing and doing it well. =) I also like when I see fashion articles when they remix the same items of clothing in 3-7 different ways. For these reasons magazines like "In Style", "Lucky's" and "People Style" are three of my most favorite monthly magazines.

A Modern Suit in a Modern World.

Hello all, how are you? I took the day off from Blogging yesterday. Didn't feel like blogging at all so I didn't write, post outfits or read any posts for that matter. I wish I could say I took the day off from work but naaah I had to be here from 3.00-10.00 PM and it felt like the longest evening ever. Before that, I woke up kinda late, did some work around the house, got some laundry done, polished up my closet a little bit and such.

I am having a case of the Mondays today. Half of my work-day has gone and boy has it been a busy one. Mondays usually are for my work, here at the office. We have a New Book Release Promotion/Dinner tonight but thankfully I won't be here for it. Not that I hate book events, just that it happened to be time for me to go home, so this time the other manager will deal with it.

Here is an outfit for you, wearing one of my most favorite things I own: this beautiful, elegant and modern Beige Linen Suit from bebe. ;-) I love this suit. It is the epitome of Class, Feminity and Chicness for me. It has this cool Patent Leather, Python Print trim around the edges of the fake pockets, on both the skirt and the blazer. I paired it with a Poplin Blouse that features a unique ruffly neckline, coming from one of my most favorite stores: The Limited, of course. I loved this outfit so much, I took a lot of shots with it. I am not even posting all of them, but here there are plenty of shots with this lovely outfit.

Wishing you All a Great Monday and a Great Start to this new, hot, Summer Week!!

Water-Color and Floral "Painted" Dress.

Hello All and TGIF. I woke up super early today because I had to take some medical exams. The results are good in general, nothing to worry about. However, me not eating breakfast, taking blood and dealing with the heat since very early in the morning, caused a little bit of Low Blood Pressure. Thankfully, I returned home, napped for a couple of hours and had plenty of time to eat lunch, and get ready for work.

I love this dress. Last summer, towards the end of the season I purchased a few dresses from Loft and this is one of them. The beautiful Pink/Sky Blue/Beige Colors look like specles of Paint which makes this water-color dress a work of Art. I also love how the front of the dress has the flowers in the upper part, while the back has them on the bottom half of the dress. It creates a fun yin-yang. I had to have something comfortable on my feet so open-dotted, Baby Pink Ballet Flats solved that problem. ;-)

Olive Green Layered Up.

Hi girls. While I am trying to stay cool (literally), I wish and hope for lighter-temperature days, grayer skies and drops of rain. Unless I was at the beach, on a cruise or in an isolated island, this weather is not possible for a human being to handle every single day. Granted, I am at work (or at home) and even doing errands these days comes at the expense of surviving the heat. Considering how we had such a cold and long winter this past winter in Tirana, I figured Summer would be muggy, hot & long too. Though summers are known to feel like an African sauna, around here.

Anyway, here you got an outfit worn on a cooler day. I'd pay money to wear something like this, again, at least for a day or two. LOL

Dark Forest Green Tank w/ Wide Lace Trim: The Limited.
Pinstripped, Black, Cropped Pants w/ Button Detail On the Outter Bottom Side: The Limited.
Turquoise, Beaded Necklace w/ Circle Pendant: The Limited.
Sky Blue, Cobalt, Navy, White & Yellow, Plaid Bangle: Forever 21.
Bright Yellow & Olive Green, Peacock-Print Bangle: Forever 21.
Black, Sparkly Globe Studs: Piazza Italia.
Black Patent Leather & Apple Green Faux Suede, Bow Ballet Flats: Simple Shoes.
