Wonderful Wednesday!! May 9th 2012.

Hello Chicas and Happy Europe's Day. Today May 9th is considered the Global Day for Europe. I was born in this continent and I currently live here (in Europe, right at the heart of the Mediterranean), so of course this 'holiday' makes me happy about my roots and upbringing. Though I ABSOLUTELY LOVE USA. I spent 15 awesome, good years in America and I have some of my life's best memories from that country. Today is "the official" Mothers' Day too. The first Mothers Day was on May 9th. It must have fallen on a Sunday since now the second Sunday of every May is considered to be Mothers' Day, at least by American standards. Anyways, below you have some reasons that make this Wednesday Wonderful.

* I had a simple, laid-back Birthday, last Friday on May 4th. That is exactly what I wanted. Traditionally in Albania we treat co-workers, friends and family to sweets (desserts) on our birthdays so I did just that. They gave me a gorgeous flower arrangement that you can see in this post and that is the dress I wore as well. I also received two new books for my birthday, from my co-workers.

* My husband's Birthday is two days after mine, on May 6th. Since I worked all day the Saturday prior (on the 5th) we did a two-in-one celebration on Sunday. I had plans to take him out for a nice seafood lunch/dinner beach-side, an hour away from where we live, by the Adriatic sea. We started the day relaxed and enthusiastic as we woke up happy after a good night of sleep. Then we had our morning cup of joe at our local Cafe-Bar. Then on our way to the Beach, we stopped for Sweet Crepes. Our amazing, delish crepes were filled with White Chocolate, Hazelnuts, Walnuts and a Chocolate/Nut Liquer. They were warm, soft & delicious. Last but not least we had a wonderful early dinner that consisted mostly of seafood and white wine, by a fabulous restaurant just steps away from the Beach. We walked around the sea for a little and we returned home full (from our yummy meal), a little tired but satisfied. So that concluded our birthdays' celebration. =)

* It is officially summertime in Albania. It is a little chilly in the mornings and at night, but by the time it is 11.00 A.M. the sun is completely out and even on those overcast days it has been hot. The good thing about it is that the season of warmth, long days, long nights, the beach, tanning and little clothing is here. The bad part about it is that I have to take a bus to and from work each day and it is boiling there. Another bad part is that I am white as snow, but I hope to rectify that by going to the beach as much as I can on weekends. We are only minutes away from the Adriatic Sea, after all. =)

* I have a ton of outfits to post and I am super behind with OOTDs due to the overbundance of outfits I have left over from when it was still cold and wintery out (and my computer decided not to work). For the next two weeks or so, I plan on posting a Cold-Day and a Warm-Day Outfit till I get back to my norm.

* I am looking forward to the packiage my family shipped me from United States. There will be many goodies there, as well as some gifts for our new house and for my birthday. Happy Belated Birthday to Me!!

* Last but not least, this Wonderful Wednesday will NOT be empty (meaning without photos) as I will post and Outfit as well. I wore this to the office, during a pretty warm day but when it was still rainy out. It was on a Casual Friday, hence the jeans. =)

    1. Thanks A Lot Taylor. Those crepes were a-may-zzzzing and I will make it a point to have them at least once a month. =) Maybe husband and I can make it a monthly thing. Thanks for asking about my birthday.

    1. I think these jeans bring out my womanly curves. I like to be skinny enough (healthy so though) and still have curves. It is the Mediterranean blood in me, as well as my genes. I embrace my boobs, my butt and my non-chicken legs. =)
