Gray and Lavender Knits = Cozy Chic.

Sometimes I am of the idea: if it ain't broke don't try to fix it. Do I think REPEATING OUTFITS IS A FASHION FAUX PAS? No, I don't think so. Even celebrities repeat outfits. I almost never repeat an outfit 100% (actually from what I remember I never have, but I said almost because I am not "perfect", it may have happened). However there are elements of an outfit I repeat and some outfits' elements "I repeat over and over again". For example during this last Fall-Winter season I wore a ton of sweater dresses. A lot of the sweater dresses I own have short sleeves, elbow-sleeves or 3/4 sleeves. I usually wore my dresses with boots and with a light long-sleeve tee or long-sleeve turtleneck/mockneck underneath them. Just last November I purchased 12 colorful mocknecks/turtlenecks in different colors (even patterns; I got 3 polka-dotted ones) in a smooth, thin, stretchy cotton. I did so to use them as layering pieces to keep me warm during the cold days. As a matter of fact, I hadn't brought any light turtlenecks/mocknecks from USA when I moved to Albania. Because it started to get really cold, really soon, purchasing a bunch of them became a neccessity. Trust me: I needed them. It was a very cold Winter this 2011-2012 season in Albania and all over Europe.

So, this outfit is "a repeat" of similar outfits. I wore something like this several times, in the last 3 months at work. 'This' consists of a sweater dress with a mockneck/turtleneck underneath it, tights, and either knee-high boots, booties or oxford shoes. The outfit shown in today's post is the perfect example of "if something works on you" or "if you love to wear something and feel comfortable wearing it" then by all means WEAR IT, REPEAT IT, DON'T FEEL BAD ABOUT IT (I didn't mean to rhyme but even better that I did LOL).

I hope you guys had a good Saturday. It has been raining for the gazillionth day in a row (it seems like), here in my side of the globe. It has definitely been a very wet April. I am hoping the saying "April Showers Bring May Flowers" holds true in this case. I can't wait for warmer days, clear skies, beautiful flowers and prettier, more colorful clothes and shoes once Spring starts, for real. I can't wait for May. =)

  1. I LOVE lavendar + grey. That sweaterdress looks great on you - I can't usually pull them off but I found one on clearance at Target last winter for like $9 that I ended up LOVING on me - and then found out via the website that the name of the style was the "Taylor." Obviously it was meant to be. :)

    1. Taylor, that's a fun, interesting story. I would have purchased the dress too (it had your name on it). Most of my sweater dresses are from The Limited, Loft & Express. =) I find them cozy, easy & versatile for cold weather. And I agree, Gray + Lavender make a great color combo. =)

      Have a Great Week!!
